The Clearmont Historical Center
The Clearmont Historical Center lies in the heart of Clearmont, Wyoming, a small but vibrant town in the Clear Creek Valley located in the northeast corner of Wyoming.
The area is rich in history dating back to prehistoric times, Indian migration, the coming of the railroad, along with commerce and trade.
A Western Railroad Hub
Strategically located along the Clear Creek branch of the Powder River, the town was a hub for farming, ranching, and a frequent stop over for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q) as it made its way West.
Today agriculture is still very important and the town hosts superior educational opportunities from the local school district and several small businesses.
